Welcome to all playing & social members, prospective members & visitors! Cricket has been played on picturesque and historic Englefield Green for more than two centuries. EGCC is a friendly club which was established in 1879! Our members take their cricket seriously, along with socialising and playing a key role in our local community. Investment in our facilities is ongoing & we are looking to expand club membership. Junior players are key to our plans. We welcome all enquiries from potential players, social members, umpires, scorers and sponsors. Please get in touch (see Come & Play on this page) & we hope that you will help us to build on a club history which features England Test paceman 'Hopper' Read...and even Marilyn Monroe!
E.G.C.C. were crowned Wey Valley Cricket League Champions in 2008 and joined the Surrey Cricket League in 2009. The 1st XI gained promotion to the First Division for Season 2010.
